Cambrian Ice

This beautiful fibre came from the very talented Katie of Hilltop Cloud. I couldn’t resist these beautiful icy colours. The fibre comes from sheep local to Katie in Midland Wales and has a beautifully long staple and enough toothiness to make a beautiful, lofty yarn while still being next-to-skin soft.

I broke the top into strips lengthwise and spun this yarn as a fractal. It is knitting up with subtle stripes in the shawl I’m making.
