Fire

Fire and Shadow

My partner requested a hat and glove set featuring an autumnal forest scene. I had a lovely, dark, stormy grey in my stash and decided to pair it with a blend I created myself of red, orange, and yellow. The fibre was lightly blended on a hackle.

Grey - 50% merino, 50% shetland, Storm colourway from Hilltop Cloud

Orange - 100% corriedale

Spun with a short forward draw. Traditional 3-ply.

Soaked in warm water and snapped to finish.

Used to make Fiery Forest Hat and Gloves
